Kathmandu, NIWFS would like to welcome you to the ” Memorandum of Understanding ” signing ceremony between Embassy of India and NIWFS . We are pleased to inform you that , Nepal – India Women Friendship Society is receiving the financial assistance from Government of India under Government of India Financial Assistance to distribute LPG sets ( Stoves , Cylinders , Pipes and Regulators ) to the marginalized women in the three districts ( Rautahat , Sarlahi and Saptari ) of Madhesh Pradesh . Also Social Welfare Council , Nepal Government has given our organization permission to receive the financial assistance from Government and distribute the LPG sets in the three districts of Madhesh Pradesh . As such today we will be signing the MoU with Embassy of India regarding the implementation of the LPG sets distribution project . The distribution of LPG sets to the marginalized women would help in getting rid of traditional cooking fuel which is the major source of diseases in rural women . The main objective of the distribution of the LPG sets to the marginalized women of Madhesh Pradesh is to help the beneficiary families in improving the cooking conditions inside their kitchen ; to reduce and minimize the dangers and risks of women’s , young girls ‘ and small babies ‘ health due to smoke and also to reduce the fuel collection time of young girls so that they can go to schools for education . About NIWFS Nepal India Women Friendship Society ( NIWFS ) is a Non – Government Organization established on 8th March , 2013 with District Administration Office , Kathmandu . We are a non – political , non – religious and a grassroot level organization working with the most marginalized population of Nepal . Our main mission is to uplift the livelihood of marginalized women from remotest part of Nepal . We have worked in Rural Farming , vocational trainings , stitching and clothing trainings , beauticians trainings etc. which has enabled more than 1000 women and their families to become economically independent . NIWFS has also helped in the crisis time such as earthquake or floods or pandemic by distributing the relief materials such as tents , medicines , food , clothes etc. We work as a bridge between Women of Nepal and India , exchanging different ideas and programs to empower the living standard of women from both countries .
