Kathmandu: Samsung Nepal has launched an aggressive marketing campaign ahead of the World Cup season, offering hefty cashbacks, free subscriptions and long-term financing schemes aimed at boosting television sales.

Under the offer, valid until July 19, 2026, customers purchasing selected Samsung TVs can receive cashback of up to 25 percent, free NetTV packages for up to 12 months and complimentary World Cup live subscriptions. Buyers of 75-inch and 85-inch models are also being offered a soundbar worth Rs 49,990 for just Rs 9,999.

The company has further sought to attract consumers through 12-month and 24-month zero-percent EMI plans in partnership with Hulas Finserve Hire Purchase Ltd., allowing customers to spread payments over two years.

The campaign comes as brands increasingly capitalize on the excitement surrounding major sporting events to drive consumer spending. Analysts say such offers, while attractive, could encourage impulse purchases and push households toward taking on unnecessary financial commitments.

Samsung has also introduced exchange facilities through ArkoStore and its authorized retail outlets across Nepal to encourage customers to replace older appliances with newer models.

The offer covers Samsung’s QLED, UHD, FHD and HD television lineups, with additional benefits varying according to screen size and category.
