Kathmandu: HONOR Nepal has officially launched the HONOR 600 and HONOR 600 Pro smartphones in the Nepali market, promoting advanced AI-powered features, flagship-level performance, and premium design. However, the launch has also sparked debate over the devices’ pricing, with the top-end HONOR 600 Pro carrying a price tag of Rs. 111,999.

While the company is highlighting AI image-to-video technology, powerful processors, and large 7,000mAh batteries as key selling points, industry observers say the devices enter an increasingly competitive smartphone market where consumers are becoming more price-conscious. The inclusion of free smartwatches and earbuds with purchases has further fueled discussion about whether the company is relying on promotional offers to strengthen the appeal of its latest devices.

The HONOR 600 starts at Rs. 54,999, while the HONOR 600 Pro is priced at nearly Rs. 110,000, placing it among the most expensive Android smartphones available in Nepal. Analysts say HONOR will need to convince buyers that its AI features and premium specifications provide enough value to justify the cost.

With economic pressures affecting consumer spending and competition intensifying from established smartphone brands, the success of the HONOR 600 Series may ultimately depend on whether Nepali consumers view the devices as genuine innovation or simply another premium-priced entrant in an already crowded market.
