Kathmandu: Ampere Nepal has unveiled a festive sales campaign targeting Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, offering cash discounts, exchange benefits, free servicing and a chance to win Rs. 10 lakh through a lucky draw.

The campaign, promoted under the slogan “Naya Sawari, Naya Umanga – Yaspaliko Mahachad Ampere Sanga,” appears aimed at attracting customers during the peak festive shopping season as competition in Nepal’s electric two-wheeler market continues to intensify.

Under the offer, customers purchasing an Ampere Nexus or Magnus can choose between a Rs. 50,000 cash discount or an additional Rs. 20,000 exchange valuation for their existing two-wheeler. Customers will also receive one year of free servicing, a 15% discount on spare parts for seven years and gift hampers.

The company has made the Rs. 10 lakh lucky draw one of the major attractions of the campaign. Customers purchasing an Ampere scooter during the offer period will get an opportunity to participate in the draw.

For the Ampere REO VYB, customers can choose either a Rs. 10,000 cash discount or an additional Rs. 30,000 exchange valuation.

However, customers may need to carefully examine the actual financial benefit behind such promotional offers. The value of an exchange vehicle, applicable terms and conditions, eligibility for the lucky draw and other purchase-related costs can determine how much benefit a customer ultimately receives.

The aggressive use of discounts, exchange bonuses and a high-value lucky draw also reflects the growing pressure on electric two-wheeler brands to attract buyers during the festive season.

Ampere Nepal says the campaign is intended to make electric mobility more accessible and encourage consumers to shift from conventional petrol-powered two-wheelers. The company has also highlighted its expanding showroom and dealer network across Nepal, where customers can take test rides and receive exchange valuations.

The festive scheme will remain valid until Chhath Puja 2083. Customers have been advised to visit their nearest Ampere showroom for details regarding vehicle availability and applicable terms and conditions.

As Nepal’s electric two-wheeler market becomes increasingly competitive, festive campaigns such as this are emerging as important sales tools. For consumers, however, comparing the regular vehicle price, exchange valuation, discount terms and additional costs before making a purchase could be crucial in determining whether the advertised “benefits” actually translate into meaningful savings.
